Isnt it time that The City Centre Tesco store vastly improved their Cycle parking in the font of the store, some of the old fashion Stands have become loose, more than enough space to have parking for 20 cycles with 10 Sheffield stands! If Morrisons can do it why not Tesco's Spokes ps A big Hand to Morrissons on Liverpool road, a shining example of how to provide Cycle Parking..well done

I must say I have not had chance to see the Morrisions stands, but agree that Tesco needs to get their act together. I seldom take my bike to town as I am unhappy leaving it anywhere!

Hi as this is a trial chat site is their going to be a moderator?
The whole purpose of the forum is to get people to cycle, negative comments don't help the campaign to get bums on saddles.
"I seldom take my bike to town as I am unhappy leaving it anywhere!"
Point me in the right direction but are'nt we trying to win Hearts and Minds with the launch of this website?
I regularly cycle into town with empty panniers for the past 4 years and not experienced any problems.
Steps off his soap box

In theory every post could be moderated, if anyone had the time to take this on. There is a fine line between allowing free expression and deleting anything that someone does not think is "on message".
Do we want a free expression of views, or not?
If someone is reluctant to take their bike into town, and other users of the forum can explore their concerns and help out with ideas and suggestions, then this is a good thing, I think.
I take my bike into town but I am extremely careful where I leave it and for how long. I leave nothing on the bike and try to park it near more vulnerable or more valuable looking bikes!
I have a 'town bike' for utility cycling and never take my 'good' bike into town.
